About Me
Born and raised in Derby, Connecticut.
I have always enjoyed photos and felt that I took fairly decent photos back when I only owned simple point-and-shoot cameras. Maybe I have just always had a nack for it...I'm not sure. Edward Weston summed it up pretty well when he said that "to consult the rules of composition before making a picture is a little like consulting the law of gravitation before going for a walk."
I then got my first DSLR (a Canon Rebel Xs) back in 2006 and have been obsessed with digital photography ever since. Since then I have acquired two Canon Speedlite 430 flashes, a 50mm lens, a 75-300 telephoto lens, a Canon 60D, and various accessories.
As a result of my interests, I have dabbled in film as well. My SLRs consist of an Asahi Pentax K1000, a Canon AE-1, and a Nikon N70. I also own a Brownie Bullseye and a No. 2A Brownie.
There is just something fascinating about catching a moment in time and being able to show other people how I see the world. I believe that photographers have a very unique way of seeing the world because even without a camera, they see everything through a camera's lens. The world is absolutely amazing and I am thankful everyday that I get to experience life.
I went to college for history and like to incorporate it into my photos whenever I get the chance.
I've shot photos at a couple weddings and I took an author photo for a book of poetry. I welcome more photoshoots so everyone is free to contact me.
